Need to relax to an enjoyable movie? Try these suggestions for romantic comedy lovers.

For anyone who loves a romantic comedy and has the time to spare, enjoy these suggestions.

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days

Andie Anderson does a good job as Composure Magazine’s “How To” girl. When faced with the challenge of writing “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days,” Andie is sure she can accomplish anything. She is in for a surprise when Ben, the guy she is trying to lose in ten days, is trying for just the opposite.

Starring Kate Hudson as Andie and Matthew McConaughey as Ben, this film is a modern comedy of errors with a giggle inducing pair of actors. It’s a battle of wits as Ben strives to make every date perfect and Andie tries to ruin all his efforts, culminating in a ridiculous singing contest and the almost theft of a diamond necklace.

Kate and Leopold

In a time travelling effort that did not go as planned, Stewart brings home his great grandfather Leopold to present day New York. There, although amazed and slightly confused, Leopold meets Kate, his match to be and discovers the efforts of his own life in his great grandson.

The ever charming Hugh Jackman as Leopold brings to the film 19th century breeding, old world manners and a sweet sincerity. Meg Ryan as Kate presents sarcasm in response to Leopold’s addresses, but soon finds his charm unavoidable.

Music and Lyrics

A musical “has been,” Alex Fletcher has limited choices left to keep his image and music alive in a challenging industry. When the most popular teen sensation requests his song writing skills and he realizes he needs a lyricist like Sophie Fisher, the fun begins.

With Hugh Grant as Alex and Drew Barrymore as Sophie, there is a laugh in every corner at the witticisms that flow between them. Brad Garrett playing Chris, Alex’s manager, adds an interesting dimension to the duo.

You’ve Got Mail

The sweet old story of The Shop Around the Corner remade to accommodate more modern technology, You’ve Got Mail is a film about two people who meet without meeting and only know each other by the words on the page. When Joe finds out just who his email friend is, he knows it will take more than that to win her over.

The stars Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks present friendly banter in spite of the fact that Kathleen and Joe are rivals in business.

Two Weeks Notice

In need of a lawyer for both personal and professional reasons, big shot George Wade snags Lucy, a woman who spends her life fighting against corporations like his, with a promise she cannot refuse. When working conditions become intolerable to Lucy, thus begins her long and humorous “two weeks notice.”

Hugh Grant plays the self-absorbed and lazy, but success-minded George, while Sandra Bullock plays the similarly success-minded, yet active and selfless Lucy. When Lucy gives her two weeks notice, George realizes he cannot make a single decision without her. They become a pair that complete each other in many ways.
