Are you celebrating "singles awareness day" instead of Valentine's Day? Grab some girlfriends and catch a chick-flick.

Valentine’s Day can be more than just a day to celebrate romance. Appreciate girlfriends by taking in a movie together and forgetting about relationship drama.

He’s Just Not That Into You

  • Starring Justin Long, Jennifer Aniston, Ben Affleck, Drew Barrymore, Scarlett Johansson, Ginnifer Goodwin, Jennifer Connelly, Bradley Cooper, Kevin Connolly

Based on the best-selling book under the same name, He’s Just Not That Into You follows the love-lives of a cast of heavy-hitters. Aniston and Affleck’s characters have been together seven years but Affleck doesn’t want to get married…ever. Scarlett Johansson’s character is a struggling singer in love with Bradley Cooper’s character who is, in turn, married to Jennifer Connelly’s character. Ginnifer Goodwin’s character is perpetually looking for “the one”, is dumped by Kevin Connolly’s character and gets advice from Connolly’s friend, Justin Long’s character. Confused yet?

Even though the plot is confusing and all the characters lives are somehow intertwined, the movie is surprisingly easy to follow with a fair share of laughs and twists, with a few dashes of sad thrown in. This is a perfect movie to watch with a group of friends because everyone has a past in which they can relate to at least one of the characters. It also helps to show women how silly they can be by making up crazy stories about why a date won’t call them back. Ladies, he's just not that into you.

Confessions of a Shopaholic

  • Starring Isla Fisher, Hugh Dancy and Krysten Ritter

Confessions is based on the books Confessions of a Shopaholic and Shopaholic Takes Manhattan by Sophie Kinsella. Rebecca Bloomwood (Fisher) is a college graduate looking for a job at a fashion magazine. Her addiction to shopping and fashion, not to mention rising debt, forces her to get a job slightly less glamorous than a fashion magazine; she's becomes a columnist at a finance magazine. While her finance column grows in popularity, her shopping debt grows even larger. She must put a stop to her addiction to shopping before it destroys her love life and career.

Bride Wars

  • Starring Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway

Liv (Hudson) and Emma (Hathaway) have been best friends their whole 26 years of life. They’ve dreamed about their perfect weddings down to every last detail. Both want a wedding at the Plaza Hotel and both get their wish. However, a clerical error puts their weddings on the same day and the best friends become bitter enemies.

Sweet, quiet Emma turns into a “bridezilla” and Liv decides she’ll get her way, just like she always has. The women sabotage hair appointments, tanning sessions and try to make each other fat. But in the end, will their love and friendship conquer all?
